Savage River 2

Here is the second Savage River painting, with a photo taken by my painting buddy, Mary Bee Kaufman. I'm smiling because we were toasty warm, out of the wind with an afternoon sun! A glorious day for plein air!

I think I love this one maybe even more than the first (?), especially those rust colors. These are both beautiful.

I can't remember if I'd told you this before, but these 2 pieces remind me of how I always enjoy seeing on your blog how you are able to move from far away/vast space to close-up/intimate still life space. But they each share some of the others' qualities, too.

ps-there is a guy from Anchorage in our workshop!
