Along Mint Mine Trail

This is the near the trailhead of a popular hike, in the Hatcher Pass area of the Talkeetna mountains. Wildflowers, especially fireweed, are plentiful. Those are the headwaters of the Susitna River, with Idaho peak in the distance. This is such a beautiful place, I could have painted in any direction. I am always attracted to the water first, but there are many more possibilities to explore next time.

Carol you are a posting machine lately! Every time I mean to come back and tell you how much I like a certain piece, it's been replaced by a new one! These are looking so great, I love the distance in this one, and I love the flowers in the previous one...2 things I've been just struggling with this week.
Hope you are well.
