I love ikat weave fabrics, so I have a little collection. I've been wanting to put this great cloth from Guatemala into a painting for a long time, so I was thrilled when I saw how great the limes looked on it. I love limes too! These are headed for lime marmalade.

I'm glad to see your new postings...excellent! You've captured the shine on those limes so beautifully and I love the use of blue with the greens and yellows.

Thanks to you all, Beverly, Karen, Sarah, and Anderson, for your encouraging comments! This is one of those paintings that looked like it wasn't going to work at all, until it did! The marmalade was work intensive, they are really small for squeezing. And unfortunately after model duty, a little dry too. But I threw in some mandarins from another painting (coming soon) and that helped a lot.
